Privacy Policy

QuickDo is an offline to-do app published by Himalayan Code Works. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.
The short version: QuickDo collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics,
no crash reporting and no advertising. The release build does not even hold Android's
INTERNET permission, so it cannot send your tasks anywhere — not by design choice
alone, but because the operating system will not let it.
What we collect
Nothing. There is no sign-in, no user profile, and no server that receives anything.
Every task, category, step, due date and reminder you create is written to a database inside the app's private storage on your own device. We cannot see it, and it is not backed up to us.
Network access
QuickDo has no network access. The Android manifest of the published app declares no
INTERNET permission, which means the operating system blocks every outbound connection
the app could attempt. Fonts, icons and all app content are bundled in the download.
The only thing that leaves the app is a link you tap yourself — our website or a
mailto: address on the About screen — which hands off to your browser or mail app.
Permissions
QuickDo asks for a permission only when a feature needs it, and each one is used for that purpose alone.

You can withdraw any permission at any time in your device settings. QuickDo keeps working without them; you simply lose the feature that needed the permission.
A note on voice input
Dictation uses your device's own speech recognition service, not ours. On devices where offline recognition is available, the audio never leaves the device. On devices where it is not, your operating system may send the audio to its own speech provider — for example Google — to transcribe it, under that provider's privacy policy. QuickDo neither receives nor stores the audio or the transcript; it only reads the text the recogniser hands back and puts it in the text field.
If you would rather not use it, do not tap the microphone, or deny the microphone permission. The rest of the app is unaffected.
Your backups
Settings offers Save a backup and Share a backup, which write your tasks to a JSON file.
- Save a backup writes the file to a location you choose on your own device.
- Share a backup hands the file to the app you pick from Android's share sheet.
Once you share a file with another app, that file is subject to that app's privacy policy, not ours. We never see it either way.
Import a backup reads a JSON file you pick and adds those tasks to your list. Nothing is uploaded.
Children
QuickDo is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Data deletion
Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for us to delete. Uninstalling QuickDo removes the app's private storage — every task, category and reminder — from your device. Backup files you exported yourself are yours to keep or delete.
Changes to this policy
If QuickDo ever gains a feature that changes any of the above — sync, crash reporting, analytics — this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the "Last updated" date at the top will change.
